Give examples of legislation such as the Human Rights Act, the Disability Discrimination Act, the Race Relations Act and the Health and Social Care Act (Regulated activities) and the Essential Standards and the Code of Practice for Social Care Workers. Next explain how they affect your role eg you must provide information in the form or language that the individual can understand, you must make sure that an individual in a wheelchair has equal access to activities.
