Hello

use 2 examples of care plans to evaluate their use in applying person centred values.

(I understand the person centred values, e.g. individuality, rights, choice, independence, privacy, dignity, respect, partnership - but I do not understand the bit that states "use 2 examples of care plans", as I thought there was only one example of care plan, e.g. person centred care/support plan.)

Sorry, I do not understand the first part of the criteria ("use 2 examples of care plans").

Hi all,

a)  a vulnerable resident asks to go for a walk but their request is denied due to lack of staff to accompany them.
b)  a resident has asked for a soft boiled egg, but this has been denied to to the risk of salmonella.  The resident is upset and a formal complaint is about to be made.

1)  actions to take in response to dilemma (a & b above)
2) how to manage the risk to help resolve the conflict (a & b above).

1) A person has refused to take their medication prescribed by their doctor

2)  A person insists on smoking in their room, despite the residential care home's "no smoking policy"
