Hi Aunty Sue is this question relating to hand washing, aprons, gloves, appropriate disposal etc. Health & Safety, Infection Control.

Q3 A working understanding of the application of standard precautions to undertaking assessment of risk of skin breakdown and the potential consequences of poor practice.

Hi taurus,

That's right. Explain how and why you use them when undertaking assessment of risk of skin breakdown and what might happen if you didn't.

See these:

http://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/communicable/InfectionControl/StdPrecautions.htm

Hope that helps

Aunty Sue
