Hi,

Could you please push me in the right direction with the following questions??

1) In what ways will an individual’s culture and preferences affect daily living tasks?

2) Explain the importance of establishing roles and responsibilities for providing support

3) How can you identify suitable opportunities for an individual to learn or practice skills for daily living?

Hi monica,

1 What is and is not acceptable to the individual. For example, in planning, culture and preferences need to be considered eg food and ways of cooking and eating, personal hygiene and routines, who will/will not be involved eg male carers for females etc.

2 Think about what would happen if no one knew what they were supposed to be doing.

3 Provide a wide range of activities and observe/monitor their skills to identify what they can/can't do. Listen to them or ask them about what they would like to do.

Hope that helps

Aunty Sue
