Hi Emiliee,
First you need to know what 'individual identity' and 'self esteem' are. See here:
http://www.more-selfesteem.com/personal_identity_article.htmNow describe how these can make a person's life happy and healthy or sad and depressing. Next give 3 examples of where you have helped individuals to develop positive individual identity and self esteem. For example you may have shown interest in an individual telling you about her family and showing you her photos.
Attitudes and approaches - this is about what you do and how you do it. Using the example I gave, you provided time and interest. This made the individual feel that she is worthwhile and that her life matters to you.
Think of one of your individuals and explain her background eg is she a widow? does she have family? does she have a condition? What are her needs and preferences eg does she need support to walk? is she religious? does she prefer a bath to a shower? Explain how you provide care for her individual needs ie a person centred approach.
How does doing things for themselves help an individual's identity and self esteem?
Hope that helps
Aunty Sue
