Hi all.

Can anyone help me in answering these questions:

1. How and where would you access information and advice that can inform you on how to provide support for sleep to your client?
2. what is it that your Home Trainer could help you with?
3. What about not only the mandatory and legislative …. From which learning activities you could access information that can inform your practice?

(are there any mandatory and legislative trainin on sleep??)

If anyone could give me helpful links as well, I will be more than happy to accept them. Thanks!!

Hi Jade,

1 The individual's GP who could refer them to the local sleep clinic or elsewhere for support. For advice you could try these:

http://www.medicaladvisoryservice.org.uk/page10.html

http://www.sleepcouncil.org.uk/index.cfm

2 Training?

3  Mandatory and legislative would be training in First Aid, Manual Handling etc. You could carry out research on the internet, read books or articles in magazines, shadow a colleague or professional from another agency etc.

Hope that helps
