Describe the potential tension between maintaining an individual’s confidentiality and disclosing concerns

Hi shona,

This is about making sure that private conversations can't be overheard (face to face and on the phone), that written communication isn't left around for others to read etc.

You have the duty to report suspected abuse even when an individual asks you not to. This can cause tension between you and the individual.
