CU1531 Statement role and responsibilities (1.1,2) (CU2546 2.1)

Write an account describing the duties and responsibilities of your own role.
Include how this fits in with
•   The GSCC code of practice
•   The CQC Essential standards of quality and safety
•   Common induction framework or your current learning program

Also make sure you include
•   Why it is important to adhere to these
•   How these relate to handling information

CU1531 Statement role and responsibilities (1.1,2) (CU2546 2.1)


1.1   As a Social Care Worker I am responsible for the welfare and safety of my    clients and to provide the service that is tailored to the individuals I work with. I apply the GSCC codes to may work and ensure that I maintain and update regular training so I ensure that I am following current standards of work practices and techniques. I have a responsibility of trust to my clients and colleagues , and must ensure confidentiality at all times. I abide by my employers policies and procedures at all times.
My role consist s of the following duties:  Personal Care, Recording information, supporting clients,


1.2   As a Social care worker what is expected of me by the relevant standards are as follows:

1.   Protect the rights and promote the interest of the service users and carers.
2.   Strive to establish and maintain the confidence of the service users and carers.
3.   Promote the independence of the service users whilst protecting them from harm and danger as far as possible.
4.   Respect the rights of service users whilst seeking to ensure that their behavior does not harm themselves or other people.
5.   Uphold the public trust and confidence in social care services.
6.   Be accountable for my practice and take responsibility for maintaining and improving my knowledge and skills.
This is what I started to write i have 33 different things in my job description shall i just attach a copy tell me if I am on the right track.

Hi molliann,

That looks as though you are on the right track to me. Some of the 33 things in your job description will probably come under the same headings such as safety or respecting client's rights. You can only use your own work as evidence so a copy of your job description won't count.
