Hi spelky~brooks,
Use your setting's policies and procedures for this.
a What do your health and safety and your protection (safeguarding) policies and procedures say? How does this make them feel safe? For example does your safeguarding policy say that the welfare of the child is paramount or that all children without exception have the right to protection from abuse regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality or beliefs? Do you think that this will make them feel safe? Explain.
For b and c it depends on your setting and ages of the children you care for so look through your policies and procedures for what is appropriate. Examples could be your behaviour policy or equal opps policy.
For d Look at your behaviour policy.
Hope that helps
Aunty Sue
