Hi donnab,
Think how a risk assessment finds the best way to manage something so that the individual is as independent as possible. For example it can find the best equipment for the individual to use to take a liquid medication ie spoon, cup, syringe etc so that they don't have to rely on others. Or it can reveal the individuals ability to remember what to take and when to take it. And so on.
