Hi,
I would like to ask what level and depth of theory a candiate is required to show for each level of the award and is it necessary to cite a 'theorist' each time or can it be just a general theory?
Thanks
Sarah

Hi Sarah!
If you're talking about the new health and social care diploma, it might be worth accessing a document called 'Finding the Levels' which is on the CACHE website.  It gives a glossary of terms applicable to each level - right up to level 4.  It gives the level of referencing required for each level and may assist you and other assessors in determining what depth of answer is required for each level - ie not then expecting a level 2 to jump through hoops.  The CACHE site is referring to childcare qualifications but the 'Finding the Levels' document is appropriate for any QCF qualification in terms of the descriptor words!
