Care Worker
Pay rate: £7.80 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Chesham, Bucks

You may be used to looking after an elderly friend or relative. Perhaps you love putting on events or organising group activities. You might even simply enjoy meeting up with other people for a good old chat. Wherever your talents lie, if you're looking for a role where you can make the most of your social, caring and life skills, The Fremantle Trust has some good news for you.

Established since 1992, we’re an award winning charity and not-for-profit organisation that provides first class care and support for older people and adults with learning disabilities. Today, we have 1,800 staff supporting over 2,000 residents at 58 services across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Hertfordshire, Milton Keynes and North London. And, right now, we’re looking for Care Workers to join our team at Chesham Leys, a brand new contemporary, purpose built nursing home providing care for up to 62 residents.

Overlooking the town centre, Chesham Leys provides nursing and dementia care for residents who have difficulty with mobility, or with physical conditions requiring medical attention and treatment. And, we want you to help us by ensuring we provide a clean and safe environment and that our residents receive the very best support services. Assisting with their personal care needs; serving meals; involving them in activities and going on individual and group outings and day trips – all are part and parcel of the role of a Care Worker. And, remember the good news we mentioned? Here it is - you don’t need to have worked in care before to join us.

That’s because, whether you want to work full-time or on a part-time basis with hours to suit, we’ll provide you with the training and support you need. You’ll receive competitive rates of pay and a generous holiday entitlement too. All we ask is that you are compassionate, empathetic, enjoy helping others, willing to learn how to support someone with dementia and would like to promote other people’s independence whilst respecting their individual choice, privacy and dignity.

If that sounds like the kind of good news you're looking for, why not get in touch? You can find out more by calling 0333 400 1020.
