Many thanks Neil.  Just that all I can think of Infection control is proper hand washing technique and proper disposal of used gloves and or apron and any other protective devices.  Any other?

Hi carecoordinator2,

It is also about using and disposing of sharps and the handling of meds.

You might find this useful:

Hope that helps

Hi everyone,

I'm Kim, i'm currently in my first year of university studying social work. I'm really enjoying the course and would definitely recommend it! I have just had my first placement in a care home and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm really looking forward to being placed in more settings. What are peoples thoughts and views on social workers?

Hope to hear from you soon

Kim

Hi Everyone,
I am Sarah from Essex.  I have been working in social care for 10 years now.  In September I embarked on my social work degree.  I decided that this was the next career move for me and I am thoroughly enjoying it.  I have almost completed my first year.  It is tough as I have 3 children, 2 under 5 so my life is pretty hectic right now.

Hiya,

I'm Cliff. I've been working with people with learning difficulties for around 12 years. I've worked with several people with autistic spectrum conditions/disorders, and also spent a lot of time working with challenging behaviours. I've been at a supported living unit for 12 individuals for nearly 3 years now, and love it. Recently started on my level 3 diploma, hoping to finish it sooner rather than later!
