Hi can anyone help me please! I am not sure how to answer this question do i answer it as 1 or all individually i dont quite get it i am so confusing myself!!

The rights individuals have to be:

.be respected
.be treated equally & not be discriminated against
.be treated as an individual
.be treated in a dignified way
.privacy
.be protected from danger & harm
.be cared for in a way that meets their needs, takes account of their choices & also protects them
.access information about themselves
.to communicate using their prefered methods of communication & language

Hi kerry,

Don't worry I'm not sure what you are being asked either.

Individuals have rights to all of these - they are the 7 Principles of Care. You will find them embedded in most of the care legislation and codes of practice such as the Care Standards Act and Care Standards and Code of Practice for Social Workers.
