Following several rumours about the phasing out of NVQs i have written to Dennis Skinner (the beast of Bolsover) to find out what the crack is.

I will keep you informed.

Hi titch,

This has the latest news on the new QFC:

http://www.skillsforcare.org.uk/qualifications_and_training/qualificationcreditframeworkQCF/qualificationcreditframeworkQCF.aspx

It would probably help if you have the PTLLS qualification also.

Hope that helps

Hi titch,

The 'rumours' seem to be pointing towards the requirement for assessors to hold a teaching qualification. Many training organisation now expect their assessors to have, or gain, one. This is where PTLLS comes in. See here:

http://www.get-licensed.co.uk/ptlls7303

You could pay for it yourself or if you work for a training company, such as a college, you might find that they will pay for it.

The new QCF (not QFC - fried chicken on the brain!) will probably be delivered in a different way but it does seem that they will still need assessors.

Hope that helps
